New York Cheesecake

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 32 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.

In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar and continue beating until well combined.

Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Add the sour cream, flour, and salt, and mix until smooth and creamy.

Pour the cheesecake batter into the prepared crust.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door closed for 1 hour.

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely at room temperature.

Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.

Serve slices of New York cheesecake plain or with your favorite toppings, such as fruit compote or whipped cream.

Enjoy your rich and creamy dessert!
